Smoking May Not Keep Girls Thin

Teenage girls who smoke do not weigh less than those who abstain, according to a new study from the University of Montreal.

Dr. Jennifer O'Laughlin and her team tracked 1,293 teenagers for five years through a series of questionnaires. She said they were surprised at their own results, because they too had bought into the myth that smoking is a good way to control weight.

yes i agree that smoking DO not make u thinner. i, myself thought it does. when hungry, i'll smoke and the hunger will go away. but after that, u become much more hungry. and this especially don't work when u eventually quit smoking. appetite will influx so badly, u can't stop yourself from eating. this is actually another "cold turkey" event. therefore i advocate no smoking and to eat healthily to be the best way to keep in shape. Exercise, that is. that is the only way to be in shape and most beautiful. Not smoking.
